Everybody Street

I found this film very interesting. Photographs can be a powerful tool when it comes to illustrating the world, especially a place like New York City. Many artist in the film focused on different aspects of the city life. Boogie, for example, took photos of the different living situations in the city. He took photos of people doing drugs and people in gangs. Clayton Patterson, took photos of similar scenarios only changed the composition. He wanted to show the positive in the community, so those who went to his studio door became apart of his work. He would have intimidating people smile at the last second to show the different sides of their character. Many of these photographers captured different people, views, cultures, ethnicities, genders in the midst of growing up in New York. Now as we see these photos in a different generation were able to see what influences us today and what has changed dramatically over time.
